Starting in Hobart we visit Lake Pedder & Lake Gordon set in the south west wilderness surrounded by mountains. This is the largest inland freshwater storage in Australia and we climb Mt Wedge to take in the views. From here we visit the world heritage Lake St Clair National park. We visit the old mining town of Queenstown, take the steam train to Strahan & cruise the Gordon River before moving on to the Western wilderness of Corinna. Here we explore the beech forests and take a cruise on the Pieman river. A visit to Smithton area sees us take a tour of Cape Grim in the North west corner of the island and explore the history of Woolnorth, the birth of the sheep industry in Tasmania. We climb Mt Roland and visit several waterfalls on our way across to Launceston where we finish this tour.
