CANNING STOCK ROUTE (South) & GREAT VICTORIA DESERT:
The longest historic stock route in the world, the Canning is regarded as one of the world's great four-wheel-drive journeys. This tour promises to be an adventure even for the most seasoned of modern-day explorers.
We travel from Alice Springs via Kintore on the Gary Junction road to Well 33 on the Canning Stock Route. From there we head south, traversing the Great Sandy Desert and Little Sandy Desert, through some of Australia's most challenging and remote terrain to Well 9. Then we turn east to Carnegie Station on the Gunbarrel Highway. From here south, heading for the Great Victoria Desert. We follow the grader path of the famous Len Beadell east across the Anne Beadell Highway through Neale Junction, Mamungari Conservation Park to Emu Junction and Coober Pedy before returning into Adelaide.
Exploranges is uniquely placed to escort you in relative comfort through this huge expanse of the Australian desert.
